200HR TEACHER TRAINING
OCT 2018 - MAY 2019

INSPIRE YOUR INNER TEACHER.
Join Willa Worsfold and steep in decades of experience with some of the finest yoga and meditation teachers on Boston’s North Shore. You will confidently teach to others by the very first weekend, in a fun and nurturing environment. You will absorb lectures, ancient and modern writings and meditations to deepen your yoga and enrich your life experiences. You will feel recharged and refreshed as you delve deeper into your practice of yoga and meditation.

OUR PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO FEEL LIKE AN IN-STUDIO RETREAT.
You will emerge joyful, strong, inspired and trained to teach wise and well-crafted classes to a variety of grateful students. Whether you plan to teach, or dream of diving into your own practice on a fuller level - this yoga and meditation teacher training is for you.

BE THE STUDENT: Asana and Sequencing.
Deeply explore the poses and sequences that keep you coming back to yoga, for your personal clarity and to graciously teach to others.

KNOW THE STUDENT: Anatomy and physiology
We are honored to introduce you to Alicia Malloy, RYT500, BS, MSPT, CSCS and Member of the Orthopedic Section of the APTA. Alicia will teach you how the body is engineered and how it most efficiently functions, thru practice and hands-on experience, so you can understand and teach safe and effective classes.

TEACH THE STUDENT.
How does one teach yoga? How does one touch and assist, speak and listen, move and be still within the classroom.

EDUCATE THE STUDENT.
We are delighted to offer you the teachings of the late great Classical Yoga Master Georg Feuerstein as well as Skype time with his wife Brenda. A rich collection of the ancient history and philosophies of yoga, this Manual will peak your interest and remain a go-to reference for years to follow. It’s that good.

SACRED TEACHINGS.
We will be graced by the presence of Lama Migmar of the Cambridge Sakya Center. Lama Migmar is the Buddhist Chaplain of Harvard, frequent traveler with and assistant to the Dalai Lama, and an all-around engaging and approachable carrier of great wisdom. Receive his teachings of Buddhist Philosophy, to gently pave your path to patience, loving kindness, generosity ease of being for the benefit of yourself and others. Independently, we will study the texts of Yoga Sutras and the eight limbs of yoga; these (“threads”) of wisdom offer guideline for living a meaningful and purposeful life.

NOURISH THE STUDENT.
Gain insight into the subtle body of energies thru the introduction of the Chakra System, Nadi channels, Chinese Meridians and essential oils.

CALM THE STUDENT: Meditation
Steep in effective meditations and experience their effect on modern-day minds, thru lecture, reflective journaling and practice. Mindfulness, calm abiding, loving kindness, tonglen - these simple and beautiful experiences are yours to be learned, practiced and shared. And how then do we support ourselves professionally in this world of yoga and meditation for years of optimal health and well-being. Also - Write your Bio. Plan your resume and practice auditions for employment.

NOURISH YOU.
How to unfold the peace you experience in your practice to affect your life off the mat. How to not over schedule, over teach, burn out or get dragged down in negative energies. How do you relate to community, friends, family, yoga colleagues, the people that piss you off, the stuff that scares you, that worries you - so that you can lead a full life complete with space and recognition of all the joy, sadness and beauty around us. Additionally - can someone please break down sanskrit words for me? Absolutely. Not to mention the teacher goodie bags we have for you...

BE INSPIRED.
What inspires you? Literature, music, art, nature, relationships, food, family, podcasts, tedtalks! The universe of inspiration is vast and rich. We will introduce you to the abundance sources beyond our four walls, and invite you to share your inspirations with us as well.
